Bringing young kids to Universal’s Volcano Bay? Awesome! They will love it! Before you go, make sure you know what attractions they are tall enough to ride.
In short, children over 48″ can ride everything in the park except slides in the Tot Tiki Reef. Children 42″ to 48″ can ride the majority of the slides with an accompanying adult. Here are the specifics:
Height Requirements at Volcano Bay
48″
- Kala and Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides. (These are the slides located inside the volcano.)
- Ohyah and Ohno Drop Slides
- Honu of Honu ika Moana
- Ko’okiri Body Plunge
42″
- Maku and Puihi Round Raft Rides – 42″ to 48″ must be accompanied by an adult.
- TeAwa The Fearless River – 42″ to 48″ must be accompanied by an adult.
- Taniwha Tubes – Tonga & Raki – 42″ to 48″ must be accompanied by an adult.
- Krakatau Aqua Coaster – 42″ to 48″ must be accompanied by an adult.
- ika Moana of Honu ika Moana – 42″ to 48″ must be accompanied by an adult.
No Height Requirement
- Puka Uli Lagoon
- Runamukka Reef – Maximum height to ride the slides is 54″.
- Tot Tiki Reef – Maximum height to ride the slides is 48″.

- The Reef
- Waturi Beach
