While other theme park and entertainment companies offer “passes” for those with certain medical conditions (currently), all companies are moving in a direction where assistance is offered rather than a “free” pass. We’re going to cover Universal Orlando’s medical assistance policy here.
Accessibility
Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure all have attractions that are designed with medical needs in mind. Most queues are handicap accessible to those in wheel chairs. Elevators are also accessible for attractions where entrances are located on an elevated floor, like “Men in Black” or “Revenge of the Mummy”.
Wheelchair Policy
Guests needing mobility assistance can bring their own or rent a wheelchair from the front of each Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. These rental options do come for a fee so be prepared to pay. The cost to rent a wheelchair is $12 for each day needed and a refundable deposit is required at the time of payment (Pick-up or Prepaid).
Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) Policy
Guests requiring additional assistance beyond the capabilities of a manual wheelchair, can bring their own or rent an ECV from the same location as the wheelchair rental. ECV riders must have the ability to navigate the ride queues without
First Aid
First aid locations, for less serious needs are located in each Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. For your convenience, Universal Orlando theme parks offer basic needs from bandages, over the counter meds for aches, pains and even acid indigestion. Just walk up to the station, present your symptom or need and they’ll be happy to help if possible.
First aid stations are located near the front of each park for your convenience.
Nursing Mothers
For the convenience and comfort for parents with nursing children, facilities are available at each of the theme park’s first aid stations and the main health services building at Universal Studios, found on Canal St in the New York area. Find comfortable, air conditioned privacy for you and your little one.
