Most visitors vacationing here in Central Florida fly into the Orlando International Airport (MCO). The airport handles an estimated 25 to 30 million travelers each year and that number continues to increase as the entertainment companies in the area grow. Universal Orlando Resort is about 18 miles from the Orlando International Airport, and there are multiple means of transportation available.
Taxi Service
- Where to get a taxi: As you exit the arrivals area of the main terminal, look for signs directing you to the taxi pick up area. Some taxi companies offer apps to reserve your ride ahead of time. The largest taxi service in the Orlando area is Mears.

Shuttle/Shared Van Services
- Where to get a shuttle: Prearranged rides can be scheduled through SuperShuttle or Mears. Services range from private town cars to shared 15 person vans.

Ride Sharing – Uber & Lyft
Ride sharing is popular in the Central Florida area, and Uber is the official ride share of the Universal Orlando Resort.

- UberX (up to 4 passengers) – Estimated $32 to $39.
- UberXL (up to 6 passengers) – Estimated $38 to $44.
- Lyft (up to 4 passengers) – Estimated $32 to $38.

Universal’s SuperStar Shuttle
- For onsite guests: If you are staying at a Universal resort, you can utilize the SuperStar Shuttle Service between the hours of 7am to 8:30pm. Talk to your vacation planner about booking.
- Estimated cost: Roundtrip: $39 per adult, $29 per child ages 3 to 9, under 2 is free. One way: $23 per adult, $18 per child ages 3 to 9, under 2 is free.
Car Rental
Car rental is available at the Orlando International Airport. However, parking at the Universal Orlando Resorts is not included with your room. If you are not staying in a Universal resort, check parking rates at your resort.

- Cabana Bay Beach Resort: Self parking, $18 plus tax per night, per vehicle.
